You either hear this or say yourself much often – “I hope things will be better soon!”, OR “Why is god hurting me so much??”
I had read book earlier “I Know That God Is Good But Why Am I Hurting So Much?” .With the help of bible quotes, it tries to convey that why God lets bad things happen.
Being human, naturally we find it very convenient to blame the God – “why did God put me in this situation..”
But if you trust God and have faith in him, you also have to accept God’s plan for you.
What you think is good for you doesn’t really mean its good for you.
All you have to do is stay open for the day with faith in God, as he knows what’s best for you. Still, here are two of my adopted views, that helps me through.
- Ashok Patel, a very close friend of mine has observed me very closely for the past decade and has always been beside me in good and not so good days. As he always does (and looking at current situations), recently he again told me that I am just one smart kid who hits a hard rock every time I am on the edge of reaching success. This obviously is his good feeling towards me, but I have stopped judging what I would call success for me. As I know I am not almighty, but the God IS. And He knows what’s good for me, so I can skip that part on my end.
- Yet another very good friend and religious mentor since my childhood (Cecil Christian),Once I asked him to pray for me while I was heading for a major milestone interview. I also asked him that I accept whatever God has planned for me, I know it will be good for me, whether I understand it right now or not, in long term I will realize that God’s plan was always good. Unexpectedly, he gave me all together a new sight to this situation. He said “If God wants me to go through some pain, I have to accept and do it. Regardless the outcome is positively good or bad.
These two views have immensely helped me navigate through the hurdles in life, same time growing in the faith.
